With this ridiculously warm Autumn, my garden has continued to produce well past its expiration date!Blotzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06993967190131485391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5492055.post-38574502848486822612007-10-06T06:18:00.000-05:002007-10-06T06:18:00.000-05:00Hey Lorence, Good for you. And, because there's a good coating of olive oil over it, it doesn't easily get freezer burn. Can keep it a LONG time. Have fun with it and don't let it go to waste.Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14363867140919109904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5492055.post-44891810480487157572007-10-05T21:20:00.000-05:002007-10-05T21:20:00.000-05:00Dave, I tried several times to grow basil with n...Dave,<BR/> I tried several times to grow basil with no luck, so I gave up. That was about 10 years ago. I've been working the dirt in y little garden strip next to the neighbor's garage ever since and decided to try again this year. I babied it at first, then started to pull off bits here and there, and like yours, it took off. I've only got one plant, but it went from a wimpy little sprig to a mighty little bush! Now I've got to learn how to make/freeze pesto for the winter...Lorencehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16772599126511191814noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5492055.post-88828980658848281602007-09-30T09:06:00.000-05:002007-09-30T09:06:00.000-05:00Wish I had known that years ago. I'll have those plants to my waist.Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14363867140919109904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5492055.post-39617773568041986372007-09-29T20:54:00.000-05:002007-09-29T20:54:00.000-05:00That's how my mother taught me to grow basil, the ...That's how my mother taught me to grow basil, the more you touch it the more it grows! I would rip some off as I walked past the plant on the way to my car in the morning and munch on it as I drove to work. I live on the beach now, and basil doesn't do well in the salty, windy air and I miss it so!Lindsayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06297821137501079808noreply@blogger.com
